Amir Jafari
My name is Amir; I was born in Mashhad and have roots in Herat. Language and culture have been a central theme in my life since I was a child. I have lived in Belgium since 2010, where I completed my secondary and higher education and was actively involved in social and community projects.
I am an enthusiastic and enterprising professional with a strong interest in communication, culture, and social engagement. Over the years, I have collaborated with organizations such as Vluchtelingenwerk Vlaanderen, Tumult, VDAB, and the Agency for Integration and Civic Integration. I also served as a spokesperson for undocumented migrants and provided support to unaccompanied minor refugees.
In addition to my work as an interpreter, I co-developed FACT (First Aid Communication Tool), an app that simplifies communication with non-native speakers in the workplace, in collaboration with organizations including Fedasil, the Red Cross Flanders, and Interreg (EU).
Today, I draw on my experience as an interpreter, bridge-builder, and communicator. I believe that language is more than just words—it is understanding, trust, and connection.
